space

Promise Land - Acrylic on 12" x 12" canvas, 2010

Lost City - Acrylic on 12" x 12" canvas, 2010

These two new paintings are an exploration of space, shapes and colors drifting in and out of focus, occupying multiple dimensions. In these pieces I want the viewer to enter into the canvas and get lost in another world.

WOW! I love the more crisp abstract shapes layered on top. There is almost a 3d effect of the shapes. How do you pick the names of your paintings? :) I think what I enjoy most about your paintings is the subtle but powerful strength.

Thank you for the nice words on my blog- Thank you for sharing the shine.

Erika - They just sort of come to me. Usually when I am editing them and have to save the file I stare at the image and wait for a name to come.

And to whoever Anon is - why thank you very much!

These definitely have depth! What an interesting contrast to your signature crisp shapes and outlines. I especially love the first piece.
