Getting closer...

Now I have to be careful. It is ALMOST done and one carefree blast of painting could ruin what's working here. It's so close... I just have to pay attention to each area and think about what's missing and only add that. There needs to be a little more flow to link the right side with the left side.

TODAY'S GOAL: Start some smaller paintings.

Here are four 10" x 10" canvases I began today. Having fun, feeling the groove again, life is good.

Lady, your work is awesome. I really dig it. I know what you mean, though. I've overworked quite a few of my paintings in the past :P

Love these! Is this a new direction for you or have you done work like this in the past? It seems different from what I recall of your Etsy shop. I love the geometry of these paintings though.

Sarah well thank you lady! :) (I love calling ladies lady, how did you know?).

Hi John - I'm actually going back to a style I've worked in for many years. I'm glad you like them, I'll be introducing more work like these as I finish them to my Etsy shop.

Balance is always a tricky thing, but it's all about the perspective. I think the balance of the painting is great. Can't wait to see the end result :)

This new series of small works is fantastic. It does feel like a departure from earlier works in a way as John suggested. I think they feel realized- more mature than previous work. Your current intensity is overwhelming me!
Burning yourself up!! AWESOME!
