Here's a new painting from the batch of four 8" x 10" canvases I was working on in the video series (see last post) called Song For Spring.
The videos shot on my Mac are in reverse - anyone know how to flip them?
Also, I'd like to continue making these videos and if you have any questions for me I'd love to answer them as I gab while I paint. It could be about anything - art, life or otherwise. If you have a website I can mention it when answering your question (a little free advertising never hurt anybody). Thanks!

Live Painting - You asked for it
So I made a set of five little videos today while I was painting. Instead of trying to reign it back and be serious (quite a challenge for me) the full on goof is loud and proud. Enjoy...

Wishful Thinking
Wishful Thinking - Acrylic on 18" x 24" gallery wrapped canvas, 2010
This painting was a bit of an awakening for me technique wise. I discovered that washes of color over the black lines tints them and adds more character to the painting as a whole. You can see the lines fade from black to green to shades of brown. I like the bright colors as well. This piece makes me think of spring. :)

Two new paintings
The Process - Acrylic on 18" x 24" canvas, 2010
The Process was finished before Puzzled but they seem appropriate to share together since they have a lot in common. This past weekend my family and I started a puzzle on the kitchen table and well, I think the visual pieces and shapes rubbed off on me creatively. Can you tell?

The View From Here
I just took this picture with our new MacBook. Rob got it last week and we are both completely in love and MacHeads for life! We named the laptop Madge. I'm in the basement working on this paint covered table ready to finish the last layers on the 12 x 12 canvas you see in the foreground. The one in the back left corner is pretty close to finished as well. You can see I've got a heater on a bongo to keep me warm down here. Indie bands are welcome to use that as a song title - I think it's got a ring to it - Heater on a Bongo.
Ok, enough clowning around. Back to work!
